After being visited by the Ghosts and reproached for his own inhumane attitudes, Scrooge is also eventually able to see that generosity can be given towards others without knowing them. Its story speaks of a man, a man called Ebenezer Scrooge, and the changes in which he goes through. Scrooge focuses too much on wealth and not people.
He begins his use of symbolism with the book's title and carries through to the end of the story.
